YEAR 2

10 weeks draws to a close and the holidays that await, is the reward for the hard work we have all put in during the term.

What a jam packed term it has been! Quite a lot of content was covered in all of the Year 2 subjects, with each subject having a number of tests. Some very good results were attained in Maths and English. It was pleasing to see the students study and prepare for their tests.

Some new subjects were undertaken during the term and now a couple of other subjects will be introduced during term four. Year 2 are an adaptable lot and they have coped well with change. Whether this be new subjects or a change in teachers, they have continued along in a friendly and lively manner.

We have welcomed a new student into Year 2 this term. Abdelrahman Altalafha has joined the class and is now one of the team. We welcome back Mrs Moran next term and we hope that she has had a relaxing break and ready for all the adventures that a new term holds.

This week, Year 2 are going to see the internationally acclaimed production Red Racing Hood. It promises to be very exciting with the inclusion of actors, puppetry, film and a high energy sound track. (At the time of writing this the students were yet to see the production, hence a report couldn’t be included)

I would like to thank the staff and students of Sirius College for their help and assistance that I have received during the term. I always feel very welcome at Sirius and I hope to see everyone again at various times during term 4.

Thank You,
Mr. Trevor Anselmi
Year 2 Teacher
